The long-range goal of the research at the Center for Visual Cognition is to The Center has excellent facilities for conducting psychophysical and experimental psychological investigations of visual processing. In addition to international collaborators, the Center has established a long-term collaboration with the Department of  Computer Science, University of Copenhagen, for studying the human visual system as an information processing system. Long-term collaborations with the Danish Center for Magnetic Resonance and the Neurobiological Research Unit aim to clarify how visual (mental) computations are implemented in the brain.

The Center is headed by Professors Claus Bundesen and Axel Larsen.
